Sandy Merkle

Dental Hygienist


Sandy Merkle graduated from Monroe Community College and has been in the dental hygiene field for over 35 years, twenty-five of them in Dr. Bob’s office.   “Talking to patients and enjoying their stories about life, family and vacations is the best part of my job”, states Sandy.  “I love educating them about oral hygiene and conveying my knowledge to improve their dental health”.  Sandy has two daughters, Mara and Megan that both live in Batavia.  Mara lives with her husband Bobby and his two daughters Parris and London  Sandy and her husband, Scott are also Batavia residents.   In her free time Sandy enjoys walking, Zumba, and camping, along with traveling which she hopes to do more of in the years to come.

Michelle Pastore

Dental Hygienist


Michelle Pastore has been a dental hygienist in our office since 1999.  She is a Pembroke High School graduate and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from S.U.N.Y. Cortland in Health Science.  With an Associates degree from Erie Community College in Dental Hygiene, Michelle selected this field in order to help people and improve their health.  She is married with a daughter.  Michelle enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, reading and volunteering at her daughter's school.

Morgan Mattice

Dental Hygienist


Morgan Mattice graduated from Erie Community College in May 2015 and has been in the dental field for one year.  She is an Alexander High School graduate.  Morgan is an animal lover, especially cats, and has three of her own.  She selected this career because she loves building a relationship with so many different individuals and helping keep their smiles healthy.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking and playing soccer.

Judy Harloff

Dental Assistant


Judy Harloff has been Dr. Bob’s Dental Assistant since 2006.  She currently resides in Oakfield with her husband, Doug.  Judy and Doug have two married children, Katie (Matt) and one grandson, Miles and Josh (Katie).  Judy says the best part of her job is that she gets to meet a diverse group of people that are all interesting in different ways.  She loves speaking with them chairside and getting to know them through their stories.  Judy enjoys cross country skiing, scrapbooking and spending time with her family, friends, dogs and cats.

Erin Ficarella

Business Administrator


Erin Ficarella is our Business Administrator.  She is our Front Desk Smile!  Growing up in Savannah, New York, Erin graduated from Clyde Savannah High School and Genesee Community College.  “Coming to work is a pleasure, we all care for our patients and each other” states Erin when asked about her chosen profession.   “I wanted to work part-time while raising my family and Dr. Bob is a family man.  He understood my needs and because of that I now work full time and have been with his office since 1992.”  Erin and her husband Bill have two married children, Amanda (Thomas) and  Michael (Natalie) five grandchildren, Ben, Lily and Jacob, Vinny and Anthony.  We love to camp, travel and spend time with family and friends.

Terri Marchese

Business Administrator


Terri Marchese joined the team in 2007, after her husband convinced her it was time.  Terri grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  After many years in office settings as secretary and office manager, then taking time off to be with the children in their younger years, Terri was ready to be in the office environment again.  Terri and Bob have two daughters, Margaret, a senior at Carnegie Mellon University and Olivia, a sophmore at the University of Buffalo.  In her spare time, Terri enjoys reading, scrapbooking, sewing, and activities outside with Bob and the girls.
